Elementary Programme Duration is 2 half days.

          Our Mentoring sessions are bespoke to your individual needs. Typically we ask for a written brief/email on your challenges beforehand, so we can prepare for our sessions. 

          One sessions normally lasts approximately 1.5 hours but this is dependent on your requirements and a shorter/longer/follow-up session may be required.

          We choose our Trainer who is most experienced in your area of need, or alternatively, if you have experience with any of our Trainers, you can choose who you would prefer to deal with.

          Any staff member at any level of the organisation can take part in mentoring sessions.  As each session is completely bespoke to individual requirements, it can be tailored to suit seniority levels, job roles, and also personality traits.

          Learning objectives are clearly outlined at the start of each mentoring session. At the end of each mentoring session, you should have met your learning objectives, and have a clear plan/path to progress from here.

          Mentoring sessions can be delivered in a variety of methods, depending on what is the most appropriate for the business:

           

          • Online Delivery – through Zoom, Teams, Skype, Google Meet or equivalent.
          • Face-to-Face – sessions can be delivered on-site if appropriate.

                      Understanding how to successfully manage remote teams has become an essential management skill. This course is a solution to a common issue which many businesses and staff are tying to overcome. Businesses need to adapt traditional skills and abilities to adjust to the ever changing digital world.

                      Owners and Manager of businesses of any size in any sector who wish to master the skills in managing a team remotely.

                      We will establish the core components of remote team management: communication, performance, and culture. We will then focus our attention to exploring the principles of management and types of management systems. Finally, participants will uncover the the essentials of implementation and some tools to help along the way. We aim to provide everyone with a solid understanding of the theory of remote team management, as well as practical experience through discussions and brain storms.

                      Part 1: Review recent and current approach with Directors / Senior Managers:
                      i. Review ‘people management’ and ‘productivity management’ experience and challenges over the COVID-19 period to date.
                      ii. Discuss the potential, objectives and plans regarding managing people working remotely over the next year.

                       

                      Part 2: Consult with / research line managers & staff working remotely:
                      i. Reflections and experiences of working remotely
                      ii. Suggestions and preferences as to how the process could be improved for the future.
                      iii. General thoughts as to Needs, Supports, Equipment, Technology and Facilities

                       

                      Part 3: Working with HR or appointed senior manager, address / review:
                      i. Roles, Responsibilities and Job Contracts / Staff Handbook, Policies etc.
                      ii. Staffing requirements going forward.
                      iii. Organisation’s supports, technology, chosen communication systems, access to information and relevant individual’s competencies
                      iv. Information systems, Risk and IP Security / GDPR etc
                      v. Review ‘blended working’ options (office / home rosters)

                       

                      Part 4: Formulate the Plan and involve relevant managers: Agree Individual and Teams’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Work Outputs, Communicating performance monitors and controls, Reporting procedures: Daily, Weekly, Monthly.
                      Part 5: Delivery of Training: (Interactive Workshop Webinars) for Managers and staff as required (each Webinar Workshop = 90 minutes, delivered in 2 X 45-minute blocks with a break of 10 minutes), content will be agreed but likely to include topics such as:,
                      i. Coping with change and effectively working from home.
                      ii. Communication and Clarity, the keys to success.
                      iii. Agreeing KPIs, Outputs and a Reporting process. Giving & Receiving feedback. Setting / finetuning objectives/ elements of Performance Management (for both parties)
                      iv. Devising appropriate and effective Monitors and Controls for staff working remotely.
                      v. Work Planning, Organisation, Facilities, Structure & Discipline / Building in concepts of Team Communication; Colleagues and Comradery.
                      vi. Quality, Productivity and continual improvement.

                          The participants will be provided with the expertise and will be empowered with the new knowledge and skills, to be able to train further batches of people in the organisation.

                          Senior levels of staff, members of management and entrepreneurs.

                          On completion of the training participants will:
                          • Understand competencies and how adults learn.
                          • Be able to identify training needs for individuals and teams.
                          • Design appropriate, cost effective and results focused training.
                          • Understand the concepts of andragogy and deliver effective training.
                          • Undertake post-training programme review and evaluation.
                          • Address special training needs and manage reluctant learners.
                          • Keep appropriate training records for individuals and teams.
                          • Have a personal programme for personal development and further development.

                          Classroom/Online

                          2 Half Days or one full day

                          The Programme is divided into Six Parts (part six is optional and not included in core fees)


                          Part One: Registration and Participant Profiling
                          The first stage is Registration and Participant Profiling. This stage is designed to inform the trainer to deliver relevant and appropriate training content in the most appropriate way (andragogy)

                           

                          Parts Two to Five: Interactive Workshop Webinars


                          Usually delivered over two half days, one week apart. The four interactive workshop webinars are each 90 minutes long with a 15-minute break. (Please note that this programme is designed for Supervisors & Line Managers and a longer, more intense, and detailed programme may be appropriate in some circumstances and this can be the subject of a separate proposal)


                          Day One:
                          A: Introduction & Discussion / the Job of Training & Developing Adults / Training Needs Analysis (90 minutes)
                          B: Designing Cost effective, results focused Training / Use of technology in Training (90 minutes)

                           

                          Day Two:
                          C: Delivering Effective Training, Training Styles & Tools, Validating Learning (90 minutes)
                          D: Evaluation & Review of Training Effectiveness / Records / Managing challenging learnings / Personal Development & Continual Improvement (90 minutes)

                           

                          Part Six: Certificates and Reporting (optional and not included in fees)
                          The final stage includes the submission and independent assessment of workbooks and validation of learning. A ‘Certificate in Training Practice’ will be issued to participants who satisfy the criterial of the independent assessor and branded with the two logos of M1 Drogheda Skillnet and Human Resource Excellence. A report is also made available to the Programme Manager which will include the following:


                          • Return of assessed Workbooks
                          • Overall assessment the effectiveness of this ‘Train the Trainer’ Programme
                          • Recommendations for continual improvement/additional needs as relevant

                          Following discussions and a Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Optimum Results were requested to design and develop a “Management Training Programme” which focused on the development of fundamental management competencies for the participants. This programme ran from October 2018 until March 2019 and was followed by two additional days one-to-one Mentoring and Personality Profiling sessions with each of the participants. Small teams of participants also completed and presented very valuable ‘Work Based Assignments’. Overall, the feedback was extremely positive, and the CG Global management team advised they were impressed with the results.
