The Critical Business Skills programme is designed to empower individuals from non-business backgrounds to reach their full potential and transition into middle management roles. This course focuses on developing essential business skills that drive economic development and productivity within organisations.
Participants will engage in self-reflection to evaluate their personal performance and professional growth, assessing their strengths, characteristics, and skills that influence workplace effectiveness. They will create strategies to enhance personal and organisational strengths while effectively managing weaknesses.
Additionally, the programme emphasises the development of vital leadership and management skills necessary to maximise team contributions. Negotiation skills, which are crucial in various business contexts—including contracts, deal-making, employment discussions, team building, and conflict resolution—will be a central focus.
