Our IGNITE™ programme is a long established, successful, EU award winning training programme to build the competencies of supervisors, 1st line and middle managers. Tailored to meet the unique needs of each business and participant. The IGNITE™ programme consistently meets its primary objective which is to improve the performance of the organisation through improving the performance of people.

Programmes specifications can reflect sector-specific requirements and include elements delivered by industry experts or client personnel, as may be appropriate.

IGNITE™ is one of three programmes delivered by Optimum Results which are classified by the EU’s Training Foundation (ETF) “International Best Practice Programme” and participants who produce an appropriate learning output can be awarded an ETF “Certificate in Line Management Practice”.

Middle and Line Managers of all industries and sectors, who are responsible for a team.

Each IGNITE™ programme is tailored to suit client’s training needs, budget and work schedules. Course content and key areas of emphasis are agreed prior to the programme commencing.

As well as learning the essentials of a wide range of business subjects, participants build management confidence, strategic thinking, problem solving, productivity, effective communication, innovation and management competencies.

The Programme will be delivered using a mix of methods which have been tried and tested by the delivery team over the past ten years. These include:

Delivery via Zoom or another suitable platform. Optimum Results Ltd has developed the capability to deliver highly effective training interventions and have been able to use the full functionality of Zoom/ Microsoft Teams to enhance the experience for Participants. Confidentiality can be maintained using individual Breakout Rooms where Participants can talk on a one-to-one basis with the Trainer as required.

On-site delivery at your business premises or at our state-of-the-art training rooms.

Typically, six or seven full day workshops (or 12/14 half days) are spread over six months to minimise work disruption to the business and optimise learning / change implementation.

As part of a growth and development strategy in our Company, we embarked on a programme of upskilling our Line and Divisional Supervisors and Managers. To date, we have very satisfactorily completed the first phase and are now commencing a more complex Phase II which integrates Line and Senior Management Training.       Human Resource Development (HRD) System

      The Human Resource and Employee Engagement Programme equips small and medium business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs with essential HR strategies to enhance communication and decision-making. Through interactive workshops, participants will learn to improve employee engagement and tackle common challenges, ultimately driving organisational success.

      SME business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs. The programme is tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants, providing them with practical skills and insights to enhance HR practices and improve employee engagement within their organisations.

      The Human Resource and Employee Engagement Programme aims to achieve the following learning outcomes:  

      1. Enhanced understanding of HR principles and employee engagement and their impact on business performance. 
      2. Increased confidence to proactively manage HR issues and employee engagement strategies. 
      3. Improved awareness of how strategic decisions affect HR and employee engagement. 
      4. Development of a comprehensive HR strategy to drive improved organisational performance and employee satisfaction.

      There are 6 Modules in total which participants are required to complete. These will be delivered over 6 half days, via online Interactive Workshops.

      Module 1 – Fundamentals of Recruitment & Selection, and Understanding the Employment Process. 

       

      Objectives of this Module 

      – Understanding the fundamentals of Recruitment and Selection • Giving strategic consideration prior to deciding to employ staff. 

      – Understanding and having regard for the pitfalls of interviewing 

      – Assessing examples of competency based interviews 

      – Ensuring new employees are given an appropriate onboarding and induction. 

      – Having consideration for training needs of existing and new employees. 

      – Candidates will have a good understanding of compiling contracts of employment and employee handbooks 

      – Emphasising the Health and Safety requirements and the dissemination of same to employees 

       

       

      Module 2 – Employee Engagement and Managing Employee Wellbeing 

       

      Objectives of this Module

      – Recognise the extent of ill health (especially stress) in workplaces; its causes and effects. 

      – Understand the legal responsibilities and duties associated with health and safety at work. 

      – Consider the role for HR in the management of stress in the workplace 

      – Understand how to develop an organisational approach to managing stress in your workplace 

       

       

      Module 3 – Performance Management 

       

      Objectives of this Module 

      – Understanding the necessity of setting performance standards and objectives 

      – The importance of ensuring standards are met 

      – Conducting performance reviews 

      – Giving and receiving feedback 

       

       

      Module 4 – Disciplinary and Grievance Management 

       

      Objectives of this Module 

      – Understanding the importance of having procedures and following them 

      – The pitfalls to watch out for 

      – How to conduct a disciplinary hearing 

      – How to conduct an investigation 

      – Candidate will have a good knowledge of how to compile a set of disciplinary procedures 

       

       

      Module 5 – Attendance Management and Managing Absences 

       

      Objectives of this Module 

      – Review of tools for managing attendance • Discuss the Financial and Non -Financial Costs of Absenteeism 

      – Legislation on Dismissal 

      – Disability and Discrimination 

      – Bullying and Harassment and Associated Legislation Module 6 

      – Labour Law and Industrial Relations Objectives of this Module 

      – Understand the mutual obligations of the employer and employee under Employment law 

      – Have a greater understanding of the many legal facets of the employment relationship and understand the legal obligations of managing the employment lifecycle from inception to end 

      – Identify and minimise problems that arise throughout the employment life cycle 

      – Negotiate successfully ensuring a win/win outcome for all parties where possible 

      – Apply skills in the areas of communications and conflict management

       

       

      Following discussions and a Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Optimum Results were requested to design and develop a “Management Training Programme” which focused on the development of fundamental management competencies for the participants. This programme ran from October 2018 until March 2019 and was followed by two additional days one-to-one Mentoring and Personality Profiling sessions with each of the participants. Small teams of participants also completed and presented very valuable ‘Work Based Assignments’. Overall, the feedback was extremely positive, and the CG Global management team advised they were impressed with the results.
