This is an introductory level programme for supervisors, line managers, team leaders and staff who are moving into people management roles.
The Supervisor & Line Manager Management Development programme is designed to equip participants with the practical tools, knowledge and confidence required to succeed in a supervisory or front-line management role.
This course will introduce participants to the core responsibilities of a supervisor and line manager. It will focus on leading people, communicating clearly, managing expectations, supporting performance, delegating effectively and handling everyday management challenges with confidence.
The programme is ideally suited for newly appointed supervisors, first-line managers and existing managers who want to strengthen their leadership approach and deliver more consistent results across their teams.
Participants will gain a clear baseline understanding of how effective supervision supports improved team performance, stronger communication, clearer expectations and better day-to-day management.

Participants will gain an understanding of how to communicate effectively, engage team members and set clear expectations. The course will also look at delegation, planning, prioritisation and how managers can organise work in a way that supports team performance.
Learners will consider practical examples of people management, including motivating team members, developing staff capability, managing performance and handling difficult conversations or conflict constructively.
The course will also explore problem solving and decision making in a management context. Participants will consider how supervisors can respond to challenges professionally, support consistency and create greater clarity within their teams.
